We've known each other
forever.
The founders of Mercatur, Brandon and Mitch, grew up together and have been friends since childhood. Mitch, who has an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and an Ivy League MBA, left his consulting career in 2016 to help startups develop investor material. Brandon was one of his clients. With the material they created, Brandon was able to obtain an early exit by selling his company’s IP to a competitor, which generated greater than a 10x return for his investors within 6 months.
At the beginning of 2020, Mitch and Brandon joined forces and re-branded Mitch’s company as Mercatur. Brandon focuses on the investment side of the business, which is funded by him personally along with a contribution from the income of Mercatur, while Mitch manages the consulting business.

Mitch McAdams, Co-Founder
Mitch has always had an interest in numbers. After obtaining his undergraduate degree in Mathematics he worked for a well-known hedge fund in NYC for several years before obtaining his MBA. Following business school, Mitch went back to the same hedge fund prior to joining a large strategy consulting firm. After 7 years of consulting, the appeal of a location-independent lifestyle was too strong to resist. Brandon encouraged Mitch to take the plunge and strike out on his own, making clear that the country is experiencing a renaissance of entrepreneurship and that Mitch’s skills could bring significant value to young companies. In 2016, Mitch began offering consulting services to startups. His was the first company to bundle a financial model with a pitch deck and the service took off immediately. When you work with Mitch, you’ll appreciate his no nonsense approach. As a startup, you should dispose of all non-essential tasks and simply focus on what moves the dial. With Mitch, that’s what you will get.
